I grew up surrounded by farms in rural Ohio.  I love driving through the countryside admiring all the different farm landscapes.  I thought by scattering a variety of farm animals throughout this piece it would add a touch of whimsy, while placing the old praying farmer on the side of the barn, beneath an old Ohio license plate, might lead you, as it did me, to "celebrate kinfolk".
